Went swimming this afternoon - it's a short session which means the pool is usually pretty empty, and so it proved - just me and two guys, we had a lane each :-). I'm slowly getting back to bilateral breathing but my arms (both of them :-0) are pathetically weak and I am out of breath after nearly every pair of lengths However, coincidentally, in the post today was the Aspire English Channel swim challenge leaflet. If I enter, I will *have* to complete it and that means two decent swims per week for 12 weeks, which would be no bad thing at all. My physio was encouraging today, about further progress still possible on my arm. She said she can feel that my soft tissue is still quite springy :-). Hurrah for springy soft tissue, that's what I say |

Crikey, for a minute there I thought you wanted to swim across the Channel.

*Virtually* across the Channel AR ;-). If anyone is looking for a reason to commit to some swim training - since swimming races are way beyond me at the best of times this is why I do it - the Aspire Challenge is a fun thing to do and you can follow your progress on a nifty little map aspirechannelswim.co.uk
