Running in Rome sounds fab Linds for work being ok for GC, I have a distinct lack of work so far this financial year (apart from 4 days in June) really need something to magically appear.

Good luck to tonight's racers, let's hope the rain's died down a bit by then up there.
JC, what are you like? I've just seen your next event. I hope GC lasts a bit longer so you can have some breathing space.

Good luck with work JC, GC and B. I am struggling with my job today Just got no interest now I know that I will be leaving in x many weeks. I keep being bombarded with tasks none of which I have the slightest interest in, and I just can't concentrate on anything so keep flitting from one task to another and getting nowhere. if I could I would resign now and be unemployed until my new job starts but I can't so I have to stay put while pre-employment checks are done. Bah humbug. And its chucking down, not that I would run today anyway, I am still tired after Saturday. Meh.

Morning.
Hugs to LD and anyone else that needs them!
Raining again! ☔️ it is driving me up the wall!
Club night tonight and doing the 4 miler I think. Don't think I fancy doing the 6. Lindy being lent someone's hydration backpack to try. Looking for alternatives.
Thanks for the advice re hydration and LR pace. I have been going out to quick on the LR I think 😂
It's my birthday tomorrow so the OH has kindly arranged to finish early tomorrow so we actually get some time together. When you consider that we work opposite shifts, quality time is currently rare.

Great pictures MM & RRR - RRR has set the bar high for future 700 mile pictures!
Linds, can you send some pizza back this way? Have a fab trip.
Hugs to Lemon, that sucks. Do you have a countdown app on your phone that you can keep looking at to remind you how close you are to getting out of there?
There's some impressive sideways rain happening here. I'm hoping to get out in it later, I love running in proper rain

Fierce and Fearless Fleecy
Morning gunks! It's 4.30am here and I'm Waiting for it to get light so I can go run. Didn't have enough dinner last night and I forgot to buy any food for breakfast so it's not going to be pretty! Looking forward to exploring properly, I caught the bus to downtown and back yesterday but I never feel like I understand the geography of somewhere till I run round a bit. It'll be much cooler than Rome

Couple of comments.
1. Really missed Carp on Sunday but the right decision made.
2. The Montane Fang 5 is a great small rucksack. It has the option to carry two half litre bottled. Front loading so if you Run:Walk like me it takes no extra effort to take on liquid.
3. Feels a bit silly as my build up to 24-hour race has been at least 26.2 miles for three consecutive weeks. And all three have been hilly. Probably close on 3,500 metres of ascent in total.

Still hammering down with rain here. Not very enthused at the thought of a 10k race at the moment!

I seem to have had pages to read - brilliant photo RRR - (nearly as fine as Corrah's from last year!). I have been to the gym and eaten a very healthy lunch but the weather is making me crave and
