Morning! Goodness this thread moves quickly! I sometimes have a slight knee pain immediately after a run, but often its after a gap in running for several days. I am better if I can run more consistently, but that's been a struggle this year. Next year WILL be different!

Bushy would be much quicker than Bracknell, RA. I find Bracknell really slow

RA Bushy is a lot flatter, but don't forget there could be 1,000 runners there so the start is quite busy, Woodley is good for a quick time as long as you can get away from the initial congestion down to the pond.

Ha ha Bracknell are having a 401 virtual challenge tomorrow if I remember correctly which involves running the parkrun as normal have a break and then run another 5k!

My running club are due to go up to Bushy in November but I want to go whilst the weather is still reasonably dry and my fitness from Marathon training hasn't died completely.

It will also be my 49th Parkrun I'm hoping to do my 50th at Bracknell but have a bit of a dilemma as most of my club mates wont be running next week as they will be in Amsterdam if I remember correctly

PtT. I know what you mean. I just wasn't up to running down to the club run, running back past home during the tempo run and then running home again!

I like to run to and from the club runs when I'm not quite so knackered. Will run to club Handicap next Wednesday, but as that's only 1/2m away, it doesn't really count!

RA you could try TVP too as it is still dry. We'll be there to cheer you on next week.

6 miles done, unremarkable apart from the fact that the 6th mile was the fastest and that's the steadily upwards mile back home, so I'm pleased with that. Still not happy with those new Brooks though. Going to have to ditch them I think.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
