Went out planning to run 18-20. Managed 13. HR high, felt exhausted, think maybe germinating a cold. I could be upset that I was 5 miles short of target or I could be pleased that I ran 13. I'll go with the latter.

*doubts that Bint has entered a "little" race*
We have done a stretch class and then some jogging on the track interspersed with jumping, kettlebells and the like, all outside in the sun :-) *feels lucky*

It sounds lovely at CLS .B. - what a shame you couldn't have packed us all in your suitcase!

Phil - that sounds like the results need a bit of tweaking - the funnel manager should record the time allocated to, say, every 10th or 20th finisher, make a note of that finisher's name and then check it against the results. Sometimes you have to add/delete a row or a time to get the times and finishers correctly aligned.

Speaking of parkrun, the very heavy rain stopped just in time for us this morning and the sun came out.:-) Although I didn't PB I was pleased with my splits (achieved without checking my Garmin apart from lap times at the mile 1 and mile 2 'buzzes'): 9:22, 9:19, 9:19 (then a little sprintette at 8:05) :-)

Haven't had my results yet. Maybe Peckham Rye had a busy morning. Immaterial anyway, it wasn't anything to write home about.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
