There is evidence for helping addictions. But you can also use "seeds" taped to the same points which work as much without being quite so horrific.

The thought of acupuncture or anything that involves pins, needles or other sharp objects going into my skin and staying there... I wouldn't be able to do it. I am signed up for a flu jab next week but that's in and out in a second.

I tend to close my eyes and think of think of food when i have to have needles i once passed out just before the dr was to give me a jab for hayfever when i was about 16
