I saw Man in the Top Rank in Cardiff in 74 or 75, the atmosphere was absolutely rank because of a combination of sweat, testosterone, tobacco and weed and being blasted by volume turned up to 12. I think that was the start of losing my hearing, great night, at least the part that I recall was great lol

I think 50p for Focus was a bit of a rip-off.

lol GlennR :)

VDGG, Lindisfarne & Genesis.

In the year that Nursery Cryme and Pawn Hearts were released. That would have been an incredible gig!

I'd probably go and grab a couple of beers during Lindisfarne though ;)

Garry Glitter!!!!

Curved Air, sign of the times having to google the singer as I'd forgotten her name. Can recall other things about her though.

I saw Lindisfarne (thankfully Gazza-free at the time), Focus, and Curved Air (I didn't have to google her name), plus Hawkwind and Dr Feelgood, at Cambridge Corn Exchange in about 1974-5. Saw Bowie at the Empire Pool in 1976.

I had to google her name, which worryingly I didn't have to do for Annie Hallam.

I saw Hawkweed at Chelmsford Odeon somewhat later (1980 according to Google - which also corrected my memory of it being the Chancellor Hall). Ginger Baker on drums. Girl school as support act IIRC. Which I think is why it sold out.
