It was the one and only time I'd cheered on the US in a competitive match against anyone! Mainly down to the way Curry played, tbh. It was beautiful to watch. Oddly though he doesn't look *that* small compared to his opposition. Whereas Alton Byrd always did! |

I find it hilarious when you're watching a match and the "little" guy gets interviewed as soon as they come off, and he absolutely dwarves the interviewer. One of the most obscene I noticed was a coach, Kevin McHale. At 6ft 10in, he's clearly on the tall end of players, but he didn't look in when in the huddles, just looked "normal". He was nearly twice the height of the interviewer and literally bent double. I watched some footage a couple of weeks ago of a Canadian teenager who has just signed in the NBA. In junior matches he was putting the ball into the basket he was that tall. |

Yes, height is an advantage but you're pretty much average height in the general so you'd be ok in park ball with some skill. Average NBA height is 6.6 so it's different. Shorter players need more skill though for sure. I can be defence, rebounding and inside scoring in park basketball as I'm tall around average people but would only be point guard in the NBA really and therefore would need to shoot and dribble better. |

Others may disagree, but I think cricket officialdom has an uncanny knack of making all any and every tournament far too long. I'm also interested in how the format will make sure it's done within the 2 weeks. Right now, it looks like it'll be a T20 tournament of some sort. |

I'm OK with cricket as much as I am for rugby sevens. Surprised it's made it to the Olympics though; even in the CWG it's not been a regular option. I feel bad that "colonial English" sports make it into the Games, but then look at some of the other more regionally based sports (e.g. many of the martial arts) and accept that the Olympics is a broad church that doesn't need a sport to be universal to be included.
