NRGEE
Not sure what to wear!! Was going to wear a jacket;but think a gilet may be ample over a t-shirt or longsleeved top?? I am usually cold for the first couple of miles;but soon warm up. I have worn shorts in training......so shorts it is(they have zipped pockets for my jelly babies!!;-) ) I have had a red beanie hat personalised with "FETCH" "NRGEE".......so may wear that. I nearly always wear a hat when I run!! last 3 days have been lovely here in Newcastle. Bright but breezy at times. Here's hoping for a beautiful autumn day on Sunday I am getting the bus into town and walking to the start. Being a Sunday service, I am limited to a 7.47am or 8.09 am bus. I should be at the start for 8.15-8.30am. Anyone else getting there as early?? NB THE CLOCKS GO BACK AN HOUR

I arrive around 3pm on Saturday and booked into The Dene Hotel (think about 1.5 miles from Exhibition Park!?). Will be awake early to get the breakfast eaten so depending on what weather is doing may head along early NRGEE.
Plan for me is vest and shorts and prob gloves (at least to start with). Dont like wearing lot layers unless REALLY cold. Shall "strip for action" as near start time as possible to keep warm beforehand.
Yes some nice Autumn dry,not too windy weather be fab if you locals can sort it NRGEE
My return train not till 5pm (from memory) so hope to catch up with folks for bit after.

We're never late on arriving for races but given it's only Tuesday, i'm no-where near that organised. I'll look up sat-nav in a few days and decide what time we have to leave

Anyone else got a view on Fetch colours v. Club colours (Rents' opinion doesn't count, cos he doesn't do club!) I know it's trivial, but I always feel a bit bad if I don't wear club colours. But it's very much a *me* race, not a club race. I think Fetch.
And Q#2 - vest or t-shirt. Like my wee cuz, I rarely feel the cold in races, so I think vest. Very little difference between t-shirt and vest anyway. And I'm not doing 2 layers. Never done that in a race yet. I'm not doing gloves (cos makes getting gels out and cups/drinks harder). Might carry a buff, just in case ears are cold if it's a v. breezy day. Can always put it round wrist. :-)G

the great thing about town moor marathon is if you leave spare clothes at Fetchpoint you can choose to put more layers on/take layers off as the race goes on. I remember the weather being so cold at first Town Moor Marathon (I was spectating) that people were adding more clothes as the race went on rather than warming up! I seem to recall wearing four layers of kit and whilst looking like the Michellin woman still being flippin freezing!

I wore short and a thin t shirt under my club vest last year and it rained/sleeted. My top half was warm enough but my legs were very cold (& a very nice shade of pink!) by the end. Wish I had worn capris.
