I'm happy with my totals so far. I had 6 weeks off running upto New Years Eve after shoulder surgery, but did use a local gym to try and keep ticking over. Since New Year, I've been aiming to get out and run a steady 60 mins ish ever day and build my long run up gradually. Currently my long run stands at 11 miles.

Nice Dave. I did similiar coming back from a period of no training. Just out easy running for an hour every day and then build a long run in. It got me back to fitness quickly and it seems to have done the same for you. Well in.
I'm doing my run as a commute home from work today to see how it fits in. 13 miles and I'm just going to take it easy all the way rather than the progressive I had planned.
Eariler in the month I was hoping to hit 300 for the first time ever. Now it looks like I'm going to be 10 short, but still a record monthly mileage for me if I keep to my plan till Sunday

G, it certainly is. I'm planning another 2 weeks of the same, then introduce some form of speed work into it, just once a week, inpreparation for a 10k PB attempt in March.
Davie, I think that because I kept ticking over, plus I only had 6 weeks off, and the fact that I've built up a solid base of training before, it's been easier than before. I've not tried to do anything silly, just run and enjoy.
On top of that, my running forms clicked in the past week and made the running 30-50 seconds a mile quicker for no more effort.

Nice running DavieC - I am some way short of month records but happy in my hours trained across 3 sports instead of one :¬)

10 miles behind. Trying to get it together to do a lunchtime three. The novelty of the bloody freezing weather wears off swiftish, doesn't it?
