Jono.
morning
13 miles needed and 13 miles done.
went to put my winter running coat on, due to the forecasted high winds and rain, to find Mrs J has put it away (unable to recover winter running coat as me and J Jnr share the wardrobes in his bedroom!) - selected my £10 Karrimor jacket (which I like but is suitable for light winds or if there's a nip in the air) and set off.
Running down the river it was quite nice, then I was pelted with hail stones, which turned into rain.
As I got to New Brighton and the wind was gusting at Hurricane strength - some young girls were leaving a nightclub in skimpy dresses - one did have boots on though. Two lads were trying to fill each other in - unsuccessfully.
Bent almost double, I turned around at about 4 and a half miles and headed back down the river - thinking *bloody hell, my out and back run is buggered now. Where can I go to get the extra miles in and not get battered by the winds*.
(These thoughts were accompanied by the Foo fighters singing *I want to go outside* & the Beatles *long & winding road*)
The rain had stopped and the high wind was drying out my £10 karrimor jacket - result!
Ran back down the river and looked at the massive crane that's currently beside the cruise ship berth next to the Pier head and ran over the bridge to Birkenhead and down to the Woodside ferry. Doubled back, over a different bridge up the hill, over the Queensway Tunnel approach road bridge and a lap around the park.
13 miles and 200 for the month
I wont say anything to Mrs J as she'll either give me a slap or say something like *well you're alright now, aren't you?*
which is true.

My Garmin recorded 6 miles at 1:54m/m across the sea which I thought was probably not right so I manually entered the run after using plotaroute.com
