Thanks Steve! There was a 12 minute walk from the car park to the registration centre, and then another 5 minute walk to the running track, and one jog round the track. Splits were 9.32 9.20 9.47 9.26 9.50 10.04 9.58 9.47 9.04 9.01 and 6.56 minute mile pace on the 3/4 of the running track to the finish. Mile 6 was the slowest as it contained a steep hill.

Well done HS; that's a very good time, and quite an achievement. I had my 4th jab today, but I had to drive 20 miles to get there. I could have had it done at our surgery 7 miles away, but not soon enough, as I wanted it done before I go away on Saturday for the Word Alive conference in Prestatyn.

Enough of an overall warm up to loosen the legs and get the blood circulating! Good recovery run too on Monday. Tempo effort on trails this morning which was over paced really despite my resolve on starting! Pleasant temperature but changed wind direction now back to blustery stuff.

Thanks Evangel. I hope your Conference goes well on Saturday.
Our warm up was about right Steve. Well done for your tempo run on trails this morning.
Walked to and from the fire station for my 4th Covid booster jab. A 1.3 mile walk each way, so good cross training πΆββοΈ

Hope all's well after your jabs Evangel and hs. Good thing you're having them to lessen the chances of getting covid. My monthly blood sample (NHS survey) shows I still have a high anti bodie level re covid even though my last jab was in late September!
Wet and windy trails this morning, five miles at a slow pace on purpose following tempo effort yesterday.

Thanks Steve, so far no ache in the arm, or any other of the possible after effects. It wasn't quite the full 6 months since my 3rd jab, and they explained that it wouldn't be quite as effective. I thought that after queuing for 1.25 hours, I didn't fancy returning another week and queuing again π They were giving us all a box of test kits, which solves the problem of trying to find a chemist, or supermarket that has them in stock. I'm still not sure whether 75+ people can still get them free.
That's good that you still have a high level of protection. My last one was 4th October, so presumably my level was still high.
Well done for doing a wet and windy trail run.
I'm having another rest day today, because I'm a bit concerned about the twinge in my knee during Monday's recovery run.

First run since Thursday for me this morning. Was a little chilly and there was a bit of snow lying here and there after the snowy day we had yesterday. 6 miles done round Crathes Castle.
It's probably a good thing to have a high number of antibodies Steve, keeps you protected.
We are currently still getting free kits here but not for long. If work wants us to keep testing then they will have to supply. Our chemists have stopped them.
A bit more rest will help HS, hope it's not serious.

Well done Lesley for your 6 miles on the laying snow.
The knee isn't serious and I intend to do an easy run tomorrow. It's forecast to be wet and very windy. I've always been conscious of the knee since the injury, and I'm just being extra cautious since Sunday's race. It was a tough decision though not to run today, as Wednesday is usually a structured training session.

But better to miss a training run, HS, than have to miss many more later - or even worst case, a race! A wise call on your part, I think.
