Count my ass in. Gotta love girlie's groups. I'm planning on doing around 6 miles on New Years Day to get a good start. This is the year I finally crack the 1000 miles target...

Returned to the running scene two years ago after a 20 year break. Underwent quadruple coronary bypass surgery in 2003 and was treated for throat cancer in 2008. Moving up from senior citizen status to that of oap in 2011 and was gutted being rejected for VLM 2011 as it's the day after my birthday. Topped 500 in 2009 and over 900, so far, in 2010. 1000 miles seems a realistic target and thinking of entering the New Forest Marathon in September. Would be over the moon to do sub 4 hours and happy to go under 4 hours 30 mins.
Don't like the snow and greatly appreciate all you wonderful nurses/doctors out there who have done so much for me. Bring it on folks!!!!!!

Keep prodding me please TnoP as I need to keep on top of my running ambitions for next year.
We plod on as they say monsenb1 except that I am stuck in a rut and have not managed to get outside running since Friday because of the snow. Me thinks I will struggle in a 10 mile race on 2nd Jan.
Trying to sum up the courage to tell my OH I would like to do my usual Parkrun on Christmas morning.

Count me in. I will break the 700 mile mark this year by close of play. And with 3 marathons already booked for the spring (plus one other possible spring one) and 2 ultras already booked for 2011 I need to be doing 20 miles every week anyway. This'll help keep me on track.

I should reach my 850 target this week. So an extra 3 miles per week next year to break 1000 seems highly doable
Parkhopper - Christmas Day parkrun, that is hardcore

Can we set a target on here for next year yet? - I can't figure out how to do it...
