Notes & Comments

Stamford 30k
Was hoping to achieve 3 hr - 3 hr 10 min time so chuffed to bits on 2:55!!!
Prob perfect conditions today fairly still, cool, dry and the course was a very picturesque journey through rural Lincolnshire. Lots of undulating hills which I rather enjoy.
Ran with e'o so was great to have company. Felt like hard work from about 14 -16 then soon turned into great caster ton for the second time and realised we were very close to the finish. The marshals and supporters were really good- thanks to the cooks and hey Jude for support en route too just what we needed towards the end :-)
Loved the kilometre love heart markers clocking up so quickly and the mantras on each one- "it's not sweat it's your fat cells crying" made me smile, and " in three days you'll look back and think you enjoyed this".... I will remember more.
Some great runs from wj today-thanks gw and lollepop and om and mrs c for lifts too...
