VLM....not had time to add report as busy catching up with people, sleeping and cross training. Ran with MrJ, having great fun until mile 15 when MrJ was handicapped by another runner kicking the back of his leg affecting his achilles so we ended up having to slow as he was in a fair bit of pain. I had a few runners turn to look at me when I blurted out *!@t as someone also nobbled me at around 17 miles and from then on my leg started to twitch. At 19 miles MrJ announced he was going to walk the rest of the way. I pondered and dithered what to do but he told me to just go so we parted ways. I spent the next 5 miles beating myself up about wether I should have, whilst pouring cold water over twitchness and getting annoyed at so many inconsiderate runners and stopping to stretch every now and then when at 24 miles I spoke severely to myself 'get on with it woman!' Certainly a mixed journey...but I did enjoy it. I found out later that MrJ had been quite poorly after I left, don't worry, he is ok and made the right decision to walk....just hope this doesn't have a lasting effect to his leg.
Finishing position in age category: 295/4735 MrJ's time 4:56:35...position in age category: 638/17876 Split Summary

Well done both for completing:) I think this year people were much less considerate than previous years. I nearly got wiped out at 5M and the 15M lucozade station looked like every single runner had just droped their bottle in the middle of the road.

Well done for just getting on with it!. I just assumed all marathons were like that on the inconsiderate front! Awesome pace for first half and looks like a sprint finish as well!. Good running.
