Notes & Comments

Llanelli Waterside Half Marathon: Relatively flat course mostly on tarmac. Managed to sustain steady pace, though fell off a little from mile 5 to 11 when running into cold breeze. Went through 4 miles in 25.01, 8 miles in 51.22, 9 miles in 57.59 and 10 miles in 64.45, on schedule for finish between 85.15 and 86.15, so well pleased with a pb of 84.53, which finally laid to rest the bogey of last year's short-changed Cardiff Half and the dubious downhill Tour of Torfaen. Great to hear the shouts of support from fellow San Dom runners in the race. Since learned I finished 3rd in the V50 category, hope the prize is a bottle of 'Night Nurse' for my stinking cold...though I'd settle for a nurse in the night!

Excellent Phil ! But how did it take you nearly half an hour to get from miles 9 to 10 ? Lol !

Thanks folks, those Sunday morning runs seem to be paying dividends, and whoops, well spotted PQ, my error, since corrected. Heck, it was cold and breezy out there today, and I've been bunged up with a stinking cold since Friday, so surprised I pulled this off.
Please wait... saving your change.
