Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Notes & Comments

A PB ! (by 6min12sec) - Nike MK Half Marathon, first time doing this and went down with Gem*, Ken and Tanya. Met Ade from WJ down there. A bright day with some wind about started right at the back but didn't matter to much as was a chip timed race, had a plan in my head to beat 1 hr 44 but secretly wanted to try and average 7.40 min/miles, the first 2/3 miles were really crowded and took a lot of weaving through. Course was well marked but not much local support and those there were quiet (compared to GE Run in Oct). Settled into pace well but started to feel a bit tired at 8 ish miles, 10th mile was hard with a head wind down a longish straight, picked up towards the end and very pleased with time, target for GE Run will be 1hr 40min now. Knee felt fine throughout. Really tipped it down after we had finished and we all sat in car (just) eating cake and drinking tea, good day and good race. Enjoyed.

Well done S, great run, I always knew that PB was there for taking. You're not waiting until GER to lower it though!! Newark at least for sub 1.40, then we'll go from there at GER!!
Please wait... saving your change.
