Centurion Grand Prix race 2 - after missing race 1 with my torn hamstring and having trained pretty much not at all since, I wasn't expecting much out of this. Started well for the first mile, felt very comfortable and then the lack of training kicked in and slowly made things harder. Luckily for the first 4 miles, someone just in front of me was doing slightly quicker than the pace I thought I would manage so I decided to stick with him until the start of mile 5 and decided to try to catch the woman about 300m ahead. Managed to keep a slightly quicker pace but didn't catch her until the last 50m where also luckily I still had enough of a kick to beat her to the line and then duly apologised as it felt a bit rude to fly past after all that time 🙈😂

Hopefully get under 50 mins at the Jan one....TBC
