toepointer An awful run, just couldn't get going at all. Started steadily and this just doesn't work for me. I need to start fast, blow up slightly and then come on again. Starting steadily just means my heart rate never gets going. Also lacking fitness due to the compartment syndrome and not being able to do the sessions I want in training, but even so! Finished 7th out of 8 in the Open Mile - the non- Jog Scotland one. First was an over 50 and second an over 45!

Ultracat Made it and enjoyed it. Nice day, warm and no wind. Track is lovely to run on. Third lap was slowest as had to go round runner who had finished race and mucked up concentration. Then watched the super fast guys do under 4mins for the mile, fantastic.
