alisterrobson Really enjoyed this! Mainly on cinder paths round the country park. Little bit of a walk from Asda car park to the registration and start point, and again after the finish, but this didn't bother me. More Mile T Shirt and bizarrely shoe wipes! Accurate 5 miles - was bang on by my Garmin. Weather seemed hotter than the 10 degrees my car said it was.

Jenson Watch time. Warm, dusty but lovely setting. Virtually flat. Should have gone flat out....was a bit scared to. Fairly happy with time though.

Screeners Haven't done a 5 mile race before so any time will be a PB. Would hope to do it in less then 50 mins. *AFTER RACE* fantastic race, thrilled with my time, didn't think I could do it this fast. Lovely scenic race, 2 laps which is mentally hard going but even that didn't seem too bad. Organisation great, everything seemed to run smoothly. Only thing I would mention is that the finish line seemed to almost appear from nowhere and not having done the race before, it kind of took me by surprise! I thought I still had about 1/4 mile to go and suddenly it was 100 metres away so my finish sprint was very late - if I'd known how close the finish was I could have pushed on for my finishing surge earlier. Apart from that minor point, I couldn't fault the race.
