Baron Mile splits: 5:28 6:42 5:35 6:27 5:36 6:09 (5:24). I didn't enjoy the hills, neither up nor down, too steep both ways to run effectively on and they gave me a nasty stitch. Only really got up to speed in Mile 5. Nice finish and managed to sprint, no problem with cars, although noticed on my warm-down jog quite a few cars leaving (footballers and runners) forcing 45+ minute runners off the road. No entry fee as it was paid for by my county, so good to have a 'free' run.

Heavyweight A lot hillier than expected. Organisation not brilliant, especially the quite dangerous finishing slalom dodging traffic.

Slipknot69 Ran for Somerset in the South west county Champs at Chippenham. After the Cheddar Half yesterday I have to be reasonably pleased with performance on a fairly tough undulating course with a nasty hill.Came 23rd,time not that quick, but from my pint of view understandable.Somerset as a team didn't not do well against extremely tough opposition. But nice to be asked to represent the county. Was 16 seconds behind Jon Gilling.I was 2nd county runner home.
