B Rubble Once I started I realised trying to get close to 1:30 two weeks after a marathon was a bit ambitious. Great run though, friendly locals good marshalling and a relatively flat course. Hot at times but lots of drinks and sponges. Got a PB by 2 minutes so by this time next year......

MarkC Terrible. *rse. Bag o'sh*te. Day started badly, waking up with appalling cramps in my left calf and went downhill from there. Was on course for 1:42 or so at 8 miles but it went pear-shaped from Mile 9. Think I was dehydrated, mentally I just wasn't there, wasn't interested. I was all over the place. At Mile 11, I wanted to stop, throw my running shoes in the bin, and crawl under a hedge. Big dent in my confidence today. Better get myself straight back into another half mara, and put it behind me. Humble apologies to Boabyboy. Sorry mate, I turned out to be a bad bet!
