Adders Well well well..... Confidence was sky high. Never in such a while has my running been going so consistently well. I had good justification to aim for a sub 37 minute performance.... or even a 36:40. So clearly the outcome of 38:01 is a dissapointment despite taking over a minute and a half off my PB. For all the commitment, I feel I have not done myself justice. The pacing was erratic and simply all over the place. Target pace was 3:40 per km but no kilometre split came close. In fact I ran a super fast and yet suicidal 3:14 at the fourth kilometre. It proved costly as kilometres six, seven and eight were abysmally slow. I salvaged something with good finishing speed (last 2km in 6:43) but at that point it was a bit too little too late. Overall race rating - 4/10
