activeight From Newport. A fairly tough race. A couple of long tiring hills. 2 stream crossings (not much water this year) an dsome nice muddy puddles to splosh through. Fields not too sticky this year, I'm told it was easy this year compared to other years!

Flat Out Fi Striders xc race at Newport! We had our home xc race today from Newport school. The ford was pretty dry compared to most years. Started off quite quickly - probably too quickly and ran with Kathyrn Chapman for the first two miles or so. Was really chuffed to finish 1st Lady today!!! Striders men did really well too and we are still in 1st place overall. Striders ladies came 2nd overall today, 2nd to Stortford! Next race is next Sunday in Harlow!

PhilB66 Was going so well, then pulled calf muscle on entering first school field and had to hobble to finish. Surprisingly, only lost one place in the process, but had been hoping to gain one before it happened. Finished 32nd (male; 34th overall)/8th (9th) Stortford
