ITG 🇮🇸 Very friendly and supportive staff; plenty of race officials, all encouraging and helpful. Easy course - only the mildest of gradients. Scenery: well, Tuscany is the Italy we read about in 19th century novels. It is very much the Italy of the British imagination. So if you like Forster, you can't go wrong. Tbh, I was running my socks off and hardly looked around, but for the full marathon, I think it would be quite glorious - and you go all the way down to the sea. Things that could be improved: 6000 runners all starting together (marathon, half and some other runs all going on). NO TOILETS! No starting pens so very jumbled at the beginning and didn't really loosen up till about 4k in.
