Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Agent Orange Spookily this was exactly the same time as I ran in this race in 2006. It was faster than my target time but still slightly disappointing. The start is always crowded, and a mark of this was it took me till the 1km mark even to overtake Scooby Doo. Then it opened out a bit. Having had a tiring day yesterday on my feet, I ran a little within myself, but got to the half way mark in 23.18. The route always measures long - I guess as it's on wide roads, it's hard to follow the racing line. I was picking up the pace a bit in the second half and moving well through the field. After 9km I thought I had a chance of sneaking in under 46 mins. But that last km measured 1.15km on the garmin and took me over 5 minutes. 46.38 was the final result. But it was a good atmosphere as usual and nice to keep up my record - my 7th consecutive run here.

Menna Good run - lots of little loops around Oxford centre and then 3km looping in the park. Had to push the pace but made it! Even managed a sprint finish.

RichardNathan Great day for a run - sunny but with a cool wind, perfect temperature.I'd never been to Oxford before either and I'd heard good things so was looking forward to the course.

I was running with a friend from the football team and he started far too fast for me (he completed it in a little over 41 mins), I should have stuck to my game plan and paced myself a lot better and from around 7k I started to struggle. It is still my PB for a 10k but it's a very flat course and I recon with a bit of training I could knock a minute off here. Still, a great day out.
