Debski Only 9 seconds slower than last year - if only I'd known that in the last mile! I'm happy with time considering lack of training due to bad weather over the last few weeks. Enjoyable local race.

Jigs Undulating course, knew it was going to be hard, hoped to do better time than at Ely as training has ramped up. Passed Bridget (running the other way) at about 2 miles. Managed to pass the 2 guys I'd been tailing, on the hill in the last kilometre. A quick chat with Bridget at the finish then jogged out to run my Gorgeous wife in to the finish. 11th over all and 3rd V40. Performance is heading in the right direction.

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) Met Atom & Doopy as we set off for our warm up :-) Lined up near the front and set off ok for the lap of the field, glad this comes at the start and not the finish! First mile was a bit faster than intended, saw Lovely Sparkly Bridget at about 3k, 2nd mile was spot on but 3rd slower than it should have been, I was still on target at 5k but then my garmin died on me, doubt that it would have made much if any difference had I been able to check my pace which should have averaged 7.09, my Wonderful Husband was waiting to cheer and run with me towards the finish :-)I am disappointed to have been slower than last year, not sure why my performance has dropped.
