DeeGee I'm going for 55 for two reasons: 1- to get below 1 hour for 10k; and 2- as part of my quest to beat a 2 hour 1/2 Marathon. For personal reasons I need to beat 57 mins this year!

*** YES!!!*** Did under 57. Raised the bar for my training buddy now!

*** 2nd Update *** They've given me 56:15. Nice. 9 seconds off my PB without even trying.

SUPERWOMAN63 I was really looking forward to this race the facilities at Lea Valley are superb and the track is beautiful. I always feel a bit out of my depth among so many real athletes !! BUT l just stick to my own slow steady pace, my aim is to finish as safely as possible, then again a PB is always nice but not the be all end all. I ran quite well up to 9km and then hung on for the finish line. It was a lovely day organisation was good and the marshalls very friendly and encouraging. Nice to finish on the track it felt quite special and another medal to add to my collection.

teckien Great experience for first race - the facilities were good and well organised. Didnt really know what pace to run at, so started at the back! Felt good after 5K so kept going and going. Impressed myself but now aching esp. right calf/achilles.
