surreystriderâ„¢ What a great event. I have never felt as tired at the end of a race as I did today. This had the lot. Steep hills, both up and down, waist deep water and mud and sand dunes in the last mile to break your spirit. And a rather pleasant appley energy gel in the goody bag.

SVrunner absolutely fantastic. didn't know what I was letting myself in for but really enjoyed it. I'm sure it was nearer to 11 miles than 10 but time doesn't really mean anything as its all about running through as much mud and water as you can. Pleased I beat the 2 hour mark though. you didn't know whether the water would come up to your ankles, shins or waist untill you trod in it and some of thoses hills I had trouble walking up let alone running up them. Definately want to do it again next year!
