bedlam_g Not sure if a PB is achievable here, still in shock at my sub 40 in Troon, not convinced it wasn’t a fluke. Would love to do the series all sub 40.

*Outcome* Got greedy and paced myself for a another big PB despite it being a tougher course than Troon, when I should have just tried to get under 40mins again. Was on target for about 39.30 and doing fine at 5k but struggled from then until about the last km when I seemed to get going again. But hey it’s 6mins 19secs quicker than when I ran the course two years ago so I shouldn’t be too disappointed.

Yano Hoping for a sub-40 PB in one of the Polaroids this year.... Bah! So near and yet so far - missed the sub 40 by only 5 seconds. Slowish start due to local neds joining in the race but otherwise I have to be pleased with the way I ran. Felt rubbish through first 4-5k including wee hill - even got a stitch - and think I was 5-10s down at halfway. Felt much better 2nd half and finished strongly but just couldn't make those seconds up, despite a sprint finish. On a positive note it's another 24 seconds off the PB and the 3rd in a row. 109th out of 842. I have a good feeling about Clydebank next week....
