Flat Out Fi We had a really good Ladies team out today and came 1st overall because of it! I was 1st lady, Claire was 3rd, Janet was 5th and we had some other great top 10 results!! The chaps were missing a few key runners but Andy M was 1st and the others did well too! Men were 2nd overall today. It was rather muddy, as I expected! But I really enjoyed it!

PhilB66 43rd overall; 10th for Stortford. Poor in terms of where I have been in league races earlier in the year, but pleasing given that I have had a lot of time out in recent months and my priority was to get round. No issue with calves, but did manage to take a tumble and graze knees and hand! Sick at the end too!!

Vindicator 42nd (outsprinted PhilB66 to the line :-) ), Although still off pace and behind other runners who I would have finished alongside last year, it was a MUCH better performance overall. I found the going tough at times, but I was in control this time unlike the Ware/Stortford races. I was in a condition at the end to be aware of what was going on around me and do what was necessary to maintain the my position and that of my 2 clubmates just ahead.
