Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

About this parkrun

Two laps entirely on the beach. Hard work but good fun. Nice and quiet. Lots of (expensive) parking. Wide variety of cafes etc.

Something quite unique to the UK. A parkrun all in the beach and sand. Tough due to the sand but great sense of achievement once done. I did it in the summer; imagine it will be really tough on a blowy day.

Good small parkrun with great volunteers. Hard work on the sand ⛱️ don't expect a PB on this one 😉

A tough two laps on the beach. Great atmosphere, friendly stewards. Highly recommended, just for the challenge

2 laps entirely on the beach. Start middle of beach, turn right adjacent to prom, down along shore to pier & repeat loop. Turn back to middle of beach to finish. Great team. Hilarious briefing. Definitely going to be a slower time for this one.

Great, tough parkrun. Free parking on Sandown Road and around the Wellesley sports ground or the northern end of Marine Parade. Public toilets are towards the Britannia Pier on the prom. Lots of coffee choice.

Such a unique parkrun experience. Really fun team, bloody hard work on the sand but a lovely place to run. 5k all on sand, legs take a bit of a hammering. I'd ran 23.47 on a flat course the weekend before, this weekend 33.11. 🤣
