clairevmc Very pleased with my time for this (equalled my time from Dunfermline HM a fortnight ago but Girvan was more hilly and warmer). I knew the course would cost me time so was never going for a pb, more a training race. I finished 2nd lady - thank you so much Girvan AC for a fab prize and a superbly organised race - great signage, facilities, water stations and people. I feel looking back that I could have continued to push more in the closing miles even though it wouldn't have bettered my position as I was doing this as a practise race. I'll be back next year I think as I really enjoyed the atmosphere at this small race and now I know how steep the hills really are!
