Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

bedlam_g First mile - 3 seconds inside my recent 1 mile track PB, 2nd mile slower than the average pace for my last 10k, 3rd mile slower than my average pace for my last Half Marathon. Maybe when I've got another couple of thousand races under my belt I'll learn to pace myself properly.

Baza Cracking relay race, 1st time at this event AND with a full team from the club this year - only club from the East this year by the looks of the results. Finished 17th overall. Volunteered for leg 4 and it paid off, 2nd fastest of the team, and had folk to chase down, picked up 4 places over the course. Good to see a few Fetchies on show too.

hannkies Felt I ran an okay race without being great. Took the last leg and the guys in front and behind were around a minute away from me at the start so a total solo run. Seven seconds slower than last year when I was on first leg duty, so like to think I'd have been faster with company. Team finished a highly respectable 9th, a place up on last year, with all our guys running below 15 minutes ( Keith doing it twice, running last leg for the C team as an added bonus ! ).

Ian Enjoyed this, tough course though. No idea about my time so waiting for the results to be posted - I think if I get under 18 minutes I'll be pleased, so let's wait and see.

Enjoyed wearing club vest for the first time, cheers Joe!

And good to see you too Time Trail Man Richard! Like you I was fourth and had a lonely run, maybe could have benefited from having some competitive company - I didn't even have my watch to look at!

Update: 16:58 official time - can't grumble with that.

rleyton Watch time. Quite pleased with that, as the course is a bit hillier than you realise, so a bit tough. 4th in my leg, and at the back of the field meant I was very much on my own for almost all of the way, which meant nobody to latch on to and only my watch times for company. Good fun though, and a superb turnout from Bella.

connelld I didn't run this last year as I was coming back from injury. However, not surprisingly for me, over a minute better than my 2006 time. Nice race and good atmosphere.
