Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Doctor K Started right at the back -seemed to take a while to reach the start -and slow out of the school yard.
First mile done in 7:50 -quick for me, ran it solidly most of the way and felt pretty strong all race. Couple of nasty little hills here and there but ran up them all -some of them quite strongly.
Passed the 6 mile marker and then realised that the last few hundred yards were slightly uphill which hacked me off. My time is what was on my watch -and was pretty gutted at my time -18 secs off PB.
Afterwards I was pleased -my PB was on the flat course of Trafford and this wasn't flat -and a bit harder than Wesham my last run so I have to be pleased. The track stuff is working as I am much stronger. Good weather conditions and a decent race

Marcus Well it was a lovely day compared to what we've had recently. Quite warm at about 7 degrees, sunny, the wind dropped to a stiff south-westerly breeze. The course was nice too, typical Bowland pastures, over the canal a few times, little traffic away from the main road, but too undulating (I can't call it hilly!) to produce the best times.

Anyway, that's my excuse for missing a PB by a few seconds! It was still a nice day out though and we stuffed ourselves silly with Conan & Lindsay in the Green Man afterwards, so no worries about not getting enough nourishment!

I spent most of the race passing people, and don't hurt at all tonight, and wasn't even close to being sick over the mayor at the finish, so I guess I'll need to try harder next time!
