Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Velociraptor Didn't add this before because I didn't know which race I'd be doing today until this morning. The kids wanted to do a fun run and eL Bee! kindly offered to sprog-sit to allow me to run the main race. Had it been a 10k I'd have wellied it in pursuit of a PB, but 10 miles is a distance over which I'm less confident so I decided to run within my comfort zone. My time is a PW by about 10s/mile, but I'm delighted with it all the same.
The race itself deserves a bigger field. It's well-organised and friendly, runs through pleasant little country roads, and is undulating without having any individual killer hills. My one gripe is that I thought I deserved a medal at the end rather than just a cup of water ...
Mr Speedy came second in the Fun Run and eL Bee! and the other kids occupied the last 5 places. Then they cheered me round like the little troupers they are. I am very proud of all of them.
