ClaireT Well chuffed with todays run, which was a PB (not expected at all) by 1 min 40 from the Mull half in August, enough to trundle in as the first lady home. Yeah! The course was great with fab scenery, the weather was favourable, and we were treated to some Bob Marley tunes long the way. For the first time ever in a race, I didn't look at my watch until I had finished. Well done to Llamadance for smashing his PB to smithereens and nice to meet you wil e coyote.

Lincsfella oo er. a really lovely race, even though i missed a turn near the end which cost me about 30 seconds. no complaints tho, wouldnt have got me a PB. weather not the best, bit cold and wet, with the clouds hiding all the stunning scenic stuff inc Ben Nevis. So want to do this again next year.

Llamadance hehehe. I'm very pleased :):) Started off too fast again (6:30) and managed to slow down a bit, but pacing was much better - apart from the first mile everything was 6:50-7:10. Felt good and every time I was struggling I focused on relaxing and keeping my form, which seemed to help. Kept waiting for the wheels to come off, but it never happened. 1:30 wasn't in danger but I'm delighted I managed to keep that pace for a HM. Right leg started to cramp a bit in the last couple of miles, but didn't slow me really. Great to meet ClaireT again and Wile E Coyote briefly.

wil e coyote Just outside my target of 90 mins. Worked my ass off over last quarter but just ran out of steam, however, 4 mins faster than Glasgow so some degree of improvement. Good to meet some fellow fetchies at the end. Superb race this, best wee race on the calendar by a mile.
