-caz- Race entry posted - Following my Edinburgh 1/2 marathon performance I've set a prediction of 55min, went thru 10k in 1hr during 1/2 mara but I intend on continuing the training between now and race day - Fingers crossed I get home on Friday 4th. Excellent performance today, legs were feeling ace, struggled a little after 8k going up that hill but made up in the last km. Followed Ellem all the way.

bedlam_g My softest PB, hope to beat 37mins. *** Update *** 1min 41sec off my January PB but i'm gutted at getting so close to 37 mins, stinky cold didn't help made me feel crap in fact I almost pulled out during a fevery warm-up. Ellem Enjoyed that - not the easiest of courses but nice to run. Very friendly atmosphere, nice medal, can of beer and loads of lovely food afterwards, super-friendly marshalls. Top race :-) Official time now 53:58

RichyC Watch time 38.18, will update when official times are out. Happy with new pb by just a fraction under a minute. Set off pretty quick, first mile in 5.47 was prob a bit too fast. First 3m in 18.29 I was delighted with and hoped sub 38 might be on but I slowed a tad in the last 2miles. Overall really happy with my time though and it was a good event. A few sharp turns to deal with but I liked the mixture of terrain and we were fortunate with the weather - sunny, breezy and cool. Also very good organisation, decent sarnies at the end and I'll scoop my can of Belhaven Best later on as a well deserved treat! Official time 38.19 - 26th place.
