gorrestfump 1st ever half-marathon. Delighted with my time as I trained alone & was training to run 1 hour 57 mins or at least to beat 2 hours. I ran it with Micky (01:46:19) and Cormac (01:46:55) and we helped each other. I attacked the hills. I could not have raced much better or tried much harder as I was planning to run just below 9 mins/mile & actually averaged 8:08 mins/mile.The weather was kind enough and so were the toilet visits. I tried a sprint at the end. there were 2 tough hills in the last mile which was a nasty surprise. Nice t-shirt & goody bag. Delighted with time.I think I strangely found it easier than the 10k Horn Head Challenge even though it was my 1st half-marathon. I think my training schedule was pretty good.
