Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fat Man Runs First '6' miler in a while and for saying it was country I felt pretty strong.

Was feeling pretty good at three miles and had overtaken a fair few runners, largely, I think because I'm relatively strong goging up hill. I managed to put some space between me and the four or five I had overtaken only to go arse over tit in the stream.

When I resurfaced I was wet and cold from head to toe and my Garmin had fallen to bits and my shoes had come undone, by the time I had sorted everything out those pesky runners had passed me again!

Spent the last two miles catching them up and then passing another couple on the final climb. I think if I hadn't had the 'stream' problems I would have been another two minutes quicker.

Overall really pleased.

Firestarter Cold start - soon warmed up though, Undulating course with a run through a thigh deep brook after about 2 miles - nice!!?! - Muddy throughout had to stop to re-fit my shoe twice. Last hill climb before the finish like a Paddy field shin deep in mud every time you planted your foot. Pleased enough with time though.
