Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

KinkyS Slightly disappointed with my time - a minute outside my PB, but I have a fine excuse. My car broke down just north of Peterborough and I had to hang around in the cold and rain for a while awaiting rescue. I finally arrived at the race site on the back of a tow truck less than 15 minutes before the start, very stressed and flustered and not really in the right frame of mind! I was so wound up that I ran the first km in 3:59 (faster than 5K pace!), and had to ease off a lot in the second half as a consequence. My head just wasn't in the right place today, but still, the race served its purpose as something to keep me amused and running after FLM...my husband reckons I was in the top 10 ladies too :-)

No.8 ™ Excellent race, finished 8th overall although the windy weather conditions put me 2 seconds outside a PB.

Held back on the first mile (5:43) and kept the second mile almost the same (5:45), would have held it for the third as well but this is where we hit the headwind (6:10). The fourth mile was easier as the wind was sideways (5:58) but back into the wind for the last mile (6:03 and 6:06). Much more consistent and felt so much more comfortable than my previous three 10ks - kept pushing forward all the way and picked off 4 runners in the second half of the race.
