bevunit Really well organised and friendly race.Lots of water and sponge stations, lots of marshalls, a nice tshirt and some hi5 at the end. The first few miles went easily through Tywyn and a neighbouring village with lots of support. Was simultaneously worried I was going off too fast and cautiously optimistic i was going to get sub 2hrs. The glorious scenery helped the miles go by quickly. Coming around the rock into a strong headwind was hard work as were the long narrow country roads of M10 and 11 where there were no supporters or views and the field had thinned right out. Luckily there was one lady ahead of me and I managed to keep her in my sights. Was initially disapointed to just miss sub 2hrs which is ridiculous since I had been telling M on the way there that I'd be happy with 2.15. Dosed myself up and didn't feel my leg at all. It hurts now though...a lot... I'm hoping at least a week off and new shoes will solve it.
