Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Paulie A brilliant event, with the route from Winchester to Salisbury perfectly marked and marshalled. The wind, rain, mud and knee-deep flood water all added to the experience.

Yellow Fang It was cold and wet at the start, so I was glad to get under way. The race was over a variety of surfaces - mostly track, but some road . It was quite muddy and fairly hilly in places. I did 9 miles in about 1:12, so I decided to try and keep to 8 minute miles. It wasn't too bad. The half marathon runners started 90 minutes later and I had problems getting around some of them in places, especially up the hills. The worst bit was when it was raining close to hailing with a vicious side wind as we were running across a field up hill. Luckily the wind tended to be across most the time, and we were often sheltered from it. The sight of Salisbury Cathedral was welcome, although the muddy field we then had to cross was not. It ended at the leisure centre in Salisbury. The last obstacle was a flooded subway, which we had to wade through. I finished quite strongly in the last mile. I was dead pleased with my time.
