Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Swimming Is Easier Driving over to this race I became even more scared of the hills and wished I'd done some hill training!! However, I loved every minute of this race. The hills in the first 5 miles were tough, but I managed to keep going and save some energy to speed up in the last 5 miles. first mile split was 10:05; third mile was 32:20 ish; 6 miles was 1:01; 7 miles was 1:10; 8 miles was 1:18:40, then managed the last hill but suffered for it in the last mile.
I think my brain was a bit addled, as I managed to turn left into the first aid area instead of the finish (?!) so had to run back out again to the amusement of the marshals!!

The race was well organised, marshals were great, and I will DEFINITELY will do this one again.
