Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

hls I have never run so much of a course before and Charley wouldnt let me walk unless it was up a hill, have to say some of the hills looked more like mountains!! The second half, despite being much hiller, felt much better, think I got my breathing more under control, and I did notice it hurt more to walk than to run which was an incentive! It was really nice to finish and still find people at the finish to cheer you on for a change!!

TooLilac perfect weather, but that was the only thing going my way. Am still full of Mumflu and realise now I shouldn't have run today. Especially when I had a funny turn near the reservoir ! sorry to those who bet on me. I did my best but felt ruuf & am off to bed to wallow now. Other thoughts, the route had changed this year, so much hillier in the 2nd half. I think this race has got too big now, nightmare traffic meant the race started 20 mins late and chaos to get out of the carpark afterwards. I think it was the 1st year they tried banding the runners. I tried to start in the 45-60min band, but the first 3km was desperately, dodging round walkers fiddling with their ipods and waterbottles. I know it's for charity, but at £19.50 it's really expensive. Will give this run a miss next year and do the Mizuno trail run instead.
