bedlam_g My first race in the town I grew up in and a PB by 13 seconds. I had hoped to maybe get nearer 19mins but a calf problem and only a few hours sleep weren’t the ideal preparation. Spent most of the race slowly catching another Bella runner and just missed catching him on the line. Anyway calf felt fine, a nice fast course and my new puppy got to go to her first race.

Quadbarrel First road 5k I'll have done so expecting to be sub 20 mins - target 19 mins. UPDATE. Delighted with my time (GPS watch time 18:22 - tbc). 10th place overall. Nice course with a few ups and downs, but held my pace well. Chinese meals 2 nights in a row must be ideal prep.... UPDATE - official time 18:16.
