CD I ran the race albeit very steadily taking 2 hours 33mins to do it and deciding to walk up the steep hills in the last section.

Had a bit of a moment at 12 1/2 miles and had to take a bit of time out to compose myself.

Really well organised event, great goody bag, T shirt and plate. Superb support from the people of Stoke.

Siggers Due to general feelings of lethargy and the predicted heat on sunday I don't think I'll be able to break 2h 10m.
I wasn't far off my revised predicted time, boy was it hot, not helped by the sun cream I had put on running into my eyes and making them sting during the first 3 miles, never mind eh!! What a course though definitely not for the feint hearted in that heat, I have to say the good people of Stoke who took the time to applaud the runners, you were great, and the few people who made their own impromptu water stops and garden hose showers, you were life savers.

I really do feel that sense of achievement, not having run a half marathon for about 15 years, and the training recently being a bit sporadic, all things being equal I am quite pleased to have finished especially with that bloody heat. Lets see what the legs say tomorrow.
