lizogical: It looks that way, but some of this wasn't the actual route, I followed a bit of the half marathon route also and had to backtrack across the moors and it was marathon no.98 so I had to plead with them to let me carry on! Was quite a dramatic one. Lovely marathon though -

As with all fell races, this is why you should reccie the route before race day....
I like that fact that you got half way along fly flats before you realised you were following the Ultra-half route though! That's quite some way past the turn-off. -

lizogical: In an ideal world I would reccie courses, but unfortunately I neither have time or resources. Well, I did ask before I got to the turn off point where the half splits off whether it'd be obvious & we were told there would be a marshal up there telling us when to go, but he didn’t tell everyone! Anyway, it was good…
