You'd think they'd be able to automate it fairly easily, wouldn't you?

First blood to NL!

Just realised that the try scorer is another girl that I've had the honour of passing alongside.

It's a small country 😂

Oh my bob.
I died at the end there.

Another thriller of a game.

Just found the England USA game on IPlayer and was happily cheering an England try until I discovered USA are playing in white, not England 🤦‍♂️

😂

I didn't catch that one, but looks like a solid victory for England.

I saw a quote from the Canadian captain the other day which was something along the lines of 'of course we're playing each game to win, but it would also be nice to get past this thing where people are always surprised to see us doing well, as if they forget we're really good at rugby and have been for a while now.'
Amply demonstrated with a convincing win against France.

The score line flatters England somewhat, but it was good to see Harrison on conversion duties put over eight kick, some from quite wide.

That function has been a little lacking in the past under Aitchison.

USA put up a strong opposition, but I think the good use of replacements showed the difference in the end.

NL v Spain looks set to be another thriller, though sadly the Spanish have just gone 3-0 up in the 19th minute.

Still everything to play for.

Entertaining first half England vs New Zealand. A couple of streaming outages. 🤞 we’ll get full continuity in the second half.

I haven’t watched either of the Wales games but their results have been disappointing, although I haven’t followed them closely enough to know whether it is unexpected.

So England vs Canada next Saturday for the decider.

I won’t be getting up at 3am to watch though.

Who's excited for the tournaments to kick off this weekend?

And who are you cheering for in each?

Linkies for the opening weekend:
SA v Japan: rugbypass.tv
Spain v Madagascar: rugbypass.tv
Australia v Wales: rugbypass.tv
Italy v Scotland: rugbypass.tv
Fiji v HK: rugbypass.tv
NL v Samoa: rugbypass.tv
USA v England: rugbypass.tv
Canada v France: rugbypass.tv

Not sure if the BBC channels/iPlayer will also have coverage which might geolock those for UK residents, though.

Also, for the silly early Monday morning ones watchback is usually available for a while 😊
