Although sadly departed now, my greyhound was the most lazy dog and he often cuddled up to us on the sofa, well when I on the sofa, he was mostly on the sofa and us squished up at the end.

Jet used to do the daft 5mins thing too. At about 8pm each night he'd get up, stretch and fart at the same time, then run about the house once, come back and go back to sleep. He always did it at the same time, he was a dog who knew what time it was I.e Tea time, Walk Times, mad 5mins time. Mental We still miss him a lot. X

We lost our Husky just over two years ago after a short illness, it took us a year to even think about looking after other people's dogs. Then we did some puppy-sitting and that went ok. So now after weeks of talking about it we've decided to get another from the same breeders (who we kept in touch with occasionally) in mid December we're going to meet an 18-month old black and white dog and see how we get on. Very excited!

Leah is very good on the lead now (as I said - she's seven). For the first two years she attempted to drag us everywhere - just head down and forward and pull. She almost pulled my sister over, broke leads and was impossible to tie to anything if we ever had to - pulling fence posts out of the ground (as well as her utter hysteria as she thought we might leave her if we tied her to a fence or whatever). Took 3 years of training but she improved dramatically and is lovely to walk on the lead.

Aww Jet sounds like he was a fab dog Yep Ollie knows times as well esp food times and has developed his own way of communicating when he wants something usually a well aimed head butt lol He will also prompt CB to get out of bed by head butting him and walking to the bathroom door and head butting that open as he knows he will go downstairs with him after going to the bathroom. He asks for his dentastix after supper by headbutting the door where they are kept as well. He knows when we say where do you need to be he needs to go to his bed and he gets a treat as well. I also have never known a dog yawn as much as he does
Peds 1 I hope you and the new doggy get on well
Wow that's impressive pulling fence posts out
