Poached egg plant, Limnanthes douglasii, I think. Garden escape, probably from seed. They seed everywhere once established.
Loved by insects, esp. hoverflies, but not native; an import from the US.

Thanks jackdaw. I might just "rescue" it and encourage it to spread inside the wall!

That is nice!
We paid a visit to the B&Q near the centre of Newcastle recently to admire the Bee Orchids (about 40) on the grass verge by the bus stop. My rural no mow garden has no orchids of any sort.

I had some orchids popping up in the past but they disappeared. I tried sowing seed but they needs special.microrhyzal funghi to germinate. Also their seed is like dust!

You have to look quite closely (the flowers are on the opposite bank of a very wet ditch so I can't get closer!) - but here are the first snowdrops I've seen this year

Mine in the garden (so not technically wildflowers I supose!) are currently holding their breath in a rather soggy garden.... Hopefully it'll dry out enough soon so that they don't start to rot when (if?) it warms up! The daffodils are sprouting well, though!
